Position Description

Senior Manager, Customer Service MENA - based in Dubai

Position Purpose:

Responsible for executing CHEP MENA’s business strategy.

Leading a team to manage a portfolio of customers for retention, growth and profitability.

Key objectives of this role:
  • Protect existing customer revenue
  • Meet business growth targets
  • Increase customer satisfaction
Key Accountabilities:
  • Achieving profitable revenue and growth targets
  • Manage revenue budget for major customer portfolio:
    • Lead senior negotiations with customer base
    • Develop and drive strategic relationships with major customer portfolio
    • Prepare and present account management plans for senior management review
    • Conduct periodical customer reviews
    • Provide input to S&OP process
    • Lead new business growth beyond core platforms within the customer portfolio and related supply chain
  • Develop business plans for customer accounts addressing growth, cost reduction, sustainability and ease of doing business
  • Drive the customer relationship process to deliver outcomes which improve costs, quality and efficiency for the customer
  • Implementing sustainable business strategies
  • Understanding key market trends including systems, processes, geographic impacts and competitor activity to ensure the strategy remains relevant and effective.
  • Analyse territory and major accounts on a regular basis to ensure proactive identification of issues and implementation of an appropriate resolution process
  • Forecasting CAPEX requirements
  • Managing market share
  • Create and maintain the required Sales Tools to support customer facing staff driving sales force effectiveness
  • Lead and manage the sales funnel within the existing customer base to drive lane expansion
  • Budget:
    • Input into the budget process
    • Tracking against budgeted KPI’s
  • Leadership and Management of team through:
    • Coaching and mentoring direct reports
    • Develop and manage team to maximize KPI results
    • Building a solid succession

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Essential: Business/Commercial Degree
Highly recommended: Post graduate degree
Min. 5 years’ experience in a customer facing role
Min. of 3 years’ experience in managing a team
Experience working in the Middle East markets
Sales methodology and planning
Creating and maintaining a high performance culture
Strong collaborative capabilities to achieve goals functionally and cross functionally.
Understands Customer behaviours, industry and market trends, economic conditions and impact.
Able to anticipate and act on opportunities to bring sale leads to market.
Able to co-ordinate and manage all functions for the delivery of the service to the client
