Description of Project :
The project involves the construction of a new 132 kV substation + 2 ICTs at HSYNCOAL Site and its cable connections to the existing 400 kV switching station.

Responsibilities :
Consultant’s Project Manager will act as owner’s Engineer.
  • Leading the design and construction supervision team of the consultant for the smooth execution of the project till the hand-over to Dewa.
  • Managing contracts & financials for the designing works and build consultancy contract
  • Ensuring the quality and progress of the design and site execution of the project.
  • Completing the project in accordance with the project target completion schedule within the allotted budget.
  • Leading the regular coordination meetings with the client, contractor and all other stake holders as necessary to resolve the issues related to design and construction of the project.
  • Ensuring regular progress reporting is done as per client’s requirements and closely monitor the progress of the project in accordance with the approved project program.

Candidate Specification

Essential Candidate Requirements:
  • Graduate in Electrical Engineering with minimum 15+ years of experience in power projects
  • Minimum 5 years of Design Experience in power projects
  • Minimum 5 years of Experience in executing 132kV substations projects in the role of project manager in the Middle East.
  • Well conversant with the design and execution of 132kV indoor GIS substations including 132kV GIS, Power Transformers, Power Cables, Protection & Control System, SCADA & Telecom systems.
  • Excellent project management, team working and problem-solving skills are required
  • Able to communicate across all levels with customer focus for effective business relationships is required
  • Experience on 132kV substation projects with DEWA approval as Consultant’s Project Manager for 132 kV substations is highly preferred
